Heartbeat Highschool is a solo journaling dating simulation roleplaying game. In Heartbeat Highschool, you play a 17 year old who has moved to a new high school in the American town of Valentine in fall of 1997. You’re in your senior year of high school. You have schoolwork, a part time job with flexible hours, and several Dating Partners who are vying for your attention. Can you find your one true love and graduate high school before the end of the year?

WOW! We've passed $2800 which means it's less than $200 to our final stretch goal of $3000, unlocking all 16 dating partners. We want to put the boys, girls and enbies of your dreams into this game, so if you're waiting to pledge, now's the time to do so!
We wanted to show off some of the earliest production art for the game. This is literally just us figuring out what these characters are like and their personalities as we developed them. (All art by Dyo!) None of this is final or will appear in the finished book, but it shows where our initial thought processes went for everyone.

Two stretch goals down!

Wow!! Things have really started to pick up in the last few days. I'm so excited because it means we've smashed through TWO of our stretch goals, adding more dating partners to the book and bringing us to a current total of ten dating partners! We're all super psyched to get down to designing these cuties for you all and have a huge document of ideas and vibes.

Meanwhile, zigmenthotep on YouTube posted this video spotlighting their picks from week 2, and the pitch they give for Heartbeat Highschool tells me they get it more than most.
I was really hoping to get some more stuff to show you guys done this week (like, I want to record a short video showing some real gameplay!) but I came down with a nasty bug on Wednesday (I think it might even have been food poisoning?), my day job has been understaffed due to a funeral, I'm currently fulfilling Castle Gygar, I have to help my dad table at a guitar convention tomorrow, and I'm currently breaking in new shoes. So maybe I can get that in this week before the end of the campaign? Here's hoping!

Hey folks!! We've officially funded, which means Heartbeat Highschool is going to become a reality. I can't wait for you all to meet Dani, Mark, Sam, Ashley and more.
This is a great time to say that every $200 we earn, we can add 2 more dating partners to the book! This maxes out at 16 total when we reach $3000. We'd LOVE to have all of them in the book, so let's get those numbers up!!
Lastly, the mini games promise--this really relies on final layout more than anything else. We'll do our best to fit it in though.
